GROVE COUNSELLING
Counselling Services for individuals across SW London

Counselling can be an expensive undertaking, yet can be transformative to people's lives.

I work with individuals on a wide range of mental health issues, using a variety of techniques tailored to the client's particular experiences, and needs. I specialise particularly in Anxiety, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (see my blog on this here), and also Grief, Bereavement and Loss.

I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space to help you explore and manage what is happening for you, using an integrative approach which blends various therapeutic methods to suit each person's needs. I am dedicated to supporting clients through life's challenges, helping them build resilience, gain self-awareness, re-balance their lives, and form healthier relationships.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can have a chat about, and ask any questions you may have. If you'd like to proceed we can arrange to meet in weekly 50-minute sessions, in person (in offices in Clapham Junction, Wimbledon Clapham North) or online

How I Can Help You
I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, a sense of loss or guilt, or low mood, or simply seeking personal growth, my approach will be tailored to meet your unique needs.
Specialising in Grief, Bereavement, and Loss
Everybody’s experiences of grief are unique, we each grieve in our different ways, at our own pace. Grief can seem overwhelming, but I can work with you as you take steps towards acceptance of a new, changed reality.

Specialising in Anxiety
Anxiety can manifest in many forms—racing thoughts, constant worry, or physical symptoms like tension and fatigue. While it’s a natural response to stress, for many, anxiety becomes overwhelming and disruptive.
I specialise in helping clients manage anxiety, whether it’s generalised, social, or triggered by specific life challenges. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to determine what your anxieties are, identify the avoidance strategies that you deploy, consciously or otherwise, and develop alternative narratives which allow you to manage or eliminate these anxieties, developing in the process practical tools to regain control. Through a supportive, collaborative approach, I aim to help you reduce anxiety’s hold on your life and restore a sense of calm and balance.

My Approach
I work in an integrative psychodynamic/person-centred way, but in addition draw from a range of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, and Existential therapy. You are at the centre of this, I ensure our work together is collaborative and supportive. My goal is to empower you with insights and coping strategies that can bring balance, healing, and resilience into your life.
Free initial consultation
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, either by phone, online, or face-to-face at offices in South West London. There is no commitment, it’s important that you are comfortable with embarking on therapy, and that you are confident that I am the right therapist for you.

Every time I have a session Piers it's good in making me feel relaxed and he does not prejudge.
It is an honour to have worked and continue working towards this journey with a compassionate therapist as Piers."
